On this page I list selected digital sources and tools that I need for teaching source criticism and (German) text interpretation.
Historical enrolment registers of European universities
A compilation of the registers by university. Most of the registers have been digitised. The editions of the registers provide insights into the recording practices of universities from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

Wörterbuchnetz
Digital network of German dictionaries. The comprehensive search across a large number of dictionaries helps to decipher unclear terms that we find in the sources.

Handwörterbuch des deutschen Aberglaubens (PDF)
Dictionary of German superstition, a folkloristic reference work. It can be useful for deciphering terms or metaphors that are no longer familiar to us today.

See also the PDF-volumes at De Gruyter (Login required):

There is also a CD-ROM edition of the HdA, although it only runs on older systems, for example on MAC OSX 10.6. The CD-ROM can be borrowed from various libraries, for example here: https://katalog.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/cgi-bin/titel.cgi?katkey=66175550
With the help of Virtual Box you can install an older computer system (OSX 10.6) virtually on a current computer system. You then install the HdA software from the CD-ROM on this virtual environment and can thus search the HdA more easily (full text search across all volumes). Older computer systems can be found at archive.org
